Show and Tell All - How you clean up for Green Up
Green Up Vermont wants to "tell all" to our website visitors what Vermont's schools and community groups are doing to participate in the Green Up Day litter clean up. Click here to submit an online form, and we will post your response as "What Schools/community groups are doing to Green Up." We'll also post one photo if you'd like (you can email your photo to greenup@greenupvermont.org) and we will put in a link so that visitors can go to your website to see more photos or even videos, if your school or organization has a website.

The Bellcate School, located at 1 Corporate Drive, Essex Jct. Website: http://www.bellcate.com
On Friday May 6th, The Bellcate School will be canceling all classes, dividing into teams, and will scouring our area to pick up trash! We will be wearing GREEN to show our unity as a community and our commitment to our Green Mountain State! There will be 25 teachers and 26 students participating, Greening Up in Essex on the roads, on the trails, and in the parks that surround our school. We have created a small competition here at the school. Each team will be trying to collect the most amount of trash. The winner will be receiving a prize! Already the buzz around the building is of healthy competition and excitement to help our community.

The Bellwether School, located in Williston, Vermont. Website: http://www.BellwetherSchool.org
On Friday, May 6 our PreK-6th grade school comes together for a community-wide Green Up Day. We make environmentally friendly cleaners with vinegar and water and use this concoction to clean our windows, walls, tables, chairs, cubbies, etc. We also pick up trash around the play yard and on the surrounding street and sidewalk around South Brownell and Marshall Avenue. We are surrounded by light industrial buildings, but also class-II forested wetlands so this area needs all the "greening up" it can get. About 45 students and 10 adults participate.
