Get Your Business Involved for Green Up Day,
always the first Saturday in May!

  • We encourage businesses to have employees participate in the Green Up Clean Up.

  • The Green Up Day bags are distributed to all of the towns throughout the state, not to the Green Up office. Contact your local town coordinator, and they may be able to provide you with some bags, but most likely you will need to supplement with store-bought trash bags. You can find your coordinator by clicking on the "How to Participate" page on the website, and then select your county. If you don't plan on taking care of your town trash disposal, contact your town coordinator to find out what your town's disposal plan is.

  • You don't have to have your employees Green Up on Green Up Day. Many businesses have employees go out the Friday before, or some time during the week before Green Up Day, during business hours. It is a fun way to give back to the community and gives your employees a chance to get out of the office for a few hours!

  • You can clean up around the outside of your business…the parking lot and the green spaces too. If you have a larger number of employees who want to go out, you can get a road assignment from your coordinator or select a road that you want to clean up.

  • Encourage good footwear and gloves. Discourage your employees from picking up hazardous materials.

  • Plant flowers, shrubbery or trees around your business

  • Tell us your story! Once your employees have Greened Up, please submit an online report using the form below.
