Photo coming soon | United Counseling Service, This is our 3rd Annual Corporate Green Up Day. We usually do it the Friday before Vermont Green Up Day, but this year we are doing it the Thursday prior to Vermont Green Up Day. I am proud to report we have 94 staff and clients signed up to beautify the neighborhoods in which are facilites are located. We have 15 facilites. We do Green Up around these facilities as well as many other streets in the community. In addition, because of our great turn out, we are able to do many additional streets in our communities. This year, we are sponsoring t-shirts for all who participate. I'm proud to be the coordinator of this wonderful event and proud to live in a state that cares so much about its beauty. Employees really seem to have a lot of fun getting out there. |

![]() | VSECU, VSECU is giving each credit union employee up to two hours of company time to "Green Up Vermont." Some employees have taken advantage of this to go out individually, while others have gone out in pairs or in teams. VSECU employees have gathered the standard bottles and cans, but they also collected tires, pool toys, a child's broken tricycle and many other larger items. Invidual employees have picked up trash close to their homes, but VSECU teams have traveled to the Berlin Pond Road, Route 12 from Northfield to Montpelier, Route 12 to Elmore and Route 64 to Williamstown. One of our teams brought their kayaks to Wrightsville Dam and picked up debris along the shoreline. Thank you, Green Up Vermont, for your continued efforts to make all Vermonters more aware of keeping our state clean and green! Employee feedback: "It is always so sad to see the snow melt away in the spring to reveal such an unsightly display of styrofoam cups, beer bottles and other debris that people have tossed away onto our roads and highways. This is not the real Vermont. So, I am glad VSECU gave us an opportunity to participate in this effort to maintain our state's beauty." ~ Lynette Kemp |
